Jack Clark is the Greta Thunberg of Worle Community School Academy in Somerset where this week he was crowned Head Boy.
He has continued to lead 20 students in the Climate Justice Revolution Group he set up even during the COVID-19 lockdown, driving ahead with his eco-plans.
During lockdown he became the founding editor of the school’s Green Gazette, and has now just won an award from the Global Goals competition.
He was also part of the team which won an award for environmentally friendly travel earlier this year.
Now he has been made Head Boy at WCSA after a fantastic four years at the high achieving and caring academy.
Jack said: ”I’m so amazingly proud of my team for receiving this award and continuing to work hard despite the difficulties this year presented.
“Our work doesn't stop here and we're working hard to make sure we have some amazing projects for the next academic year.”
Principal Jacqui Scott said: “Jack is quite simply sensational. His work for the last four years has been inspirational and he has a glittering future ahead of him. He is a leading young figure making huge changes to the environment at WCSA.”
