Inspirational student beats thousands of applicants to win place at prestigious UK acting academy

Hannah Murdoch, a Year 11 pupil at The King Alfred School, an Academy, won a highly-sought-after place on the Musical Theatre Diploma course at the Emil Dale Academy in Hitchin.

The high-flying student is a member of local group Re Act Theatre School and the Lisa Jane School of Dance.

TKASA is a school ‘going places’ with excellent GCSE results, brilliant teaching and leadership, and part of The Priory Learning Trust.

Emil Dale Academy has come a long way in a short time and is now one of the first-choice destinations for students with experienced West End performers as the teachers.

Hannah said: “When I found out, I couldn’t believe it! Performing is my biggest passion and to have the opportunity to train at Emil Dale Academy is a dream come true. I’m so excited to start there next September!”
