Incredible Eddie, 11, raises £1500 for charity after sad passing of his mum

The inspirational pupil of Ashcombe Primary School pupil in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset organised a cake sale and non-uniform day.

When Eddie’s mum sadly passed away in October last year, he wanted to fulfill his mum’s wishes and chose to raise money for MacMillan.

Eddie personally wrote a letter to Year 6 parents asking for cake donations and ran the whole event.

And he organised a non-uniform day for Friday 15th February where the children paid £1 to wear red, to raise the awareness of blood cancer.

Big-hearted Eddie also visited Costa coffee to collect vouchers donated towards the school’s ‘Is Home Where Heart Is?’ REAL project.

Headteacher John Clark said: “We’re so proud of this incredible young man.”
