Expanding Live Saving Defib Project Wows Communities
By Jill Dando News
In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Donate For Defib WsM Project Team captivated members of the Weston-super-Mare Civic Society with a compelling presentation at Weston Museum.
Project Lead Josh Bell kicked off the event with an overview of the project's ongoing developments, including the Defibrillator Legacy Programme sponsored by The Elms Funeral Directors.
The audience's enthusiasm was palpable as they eagerly engaged with questions about the project's sponsors, which include local businesses such as Howards Motor Group, The Print Hive, and Badlam Automotive.
Corporate Lead Ambassador Peter shed light on the project's corporate developments and sponsorship opportunities, while Deputy Project Lead Christina detailed the successful fundraising efforts that have been driving the initiative forward.
The highlight of the evening was an engaging CPR and defibrillator awareness demonstration led by Sarah, one of the project's Paramedic Lead Ambassadors.
Attendees had the opportunity to practice life-saving techniques, learning how to access and use defibrillators in the event of a cardiac emergency.
"It was incredible to see so many people actively participating in the CPR demonstration," Sarah commented. "Every person who learns these skills could potentially save a life in the future."
The Donate For Defib WsM Project, which aims to increase the availability of defibrillators in Weston-super-Mare, has been gaining momentum with its community-focused approach.
The team's presentation at the Civic Society is just one of many outreach efforts to educate and engage local residents.
As a gesture of appreciation for the warm reception, the project team announced plans to create a dedicated page for the Weston-super-Mare Civic Society on their website, further strengthening the bond between the initiative and the local community.
With the success of this event, the Donate For Defib WsM Project continues to prove that when it comes to saving lives, the heartbeat of the community is stronger than ever.
