Gus the puppy is already proving really popular at his new inspirational school workplace.
The 12-week old Fox Red Labrador pup will now be the working dog for Ashcombe Primary School in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Gus is already becoming a star attraction among the 630 pupils.
Headteacher John Clark said: “Having a dog in a school is a wonderful thing for pupils and staff. We are a real community and dogs have been proven to help calm children and help them through a range of learning issues.”
