It’s eco good news with the approval of a new solar farm.
Renewable Services Ltd put through an application to Somerset Council, for a huge new solar farm to be built at Preston Farm, which is near Milverton.
Though numerous locals objected to the application due to the land being fertile, the Council approved the project, as more electricity was needed because of local housing growth.
Once connected to the national grid, which is a kilometre south of the main road, it will generate enough electricity to power 7000 homes around Somerset.
This will result in a positive impact on the community and helping in the global battle against climate change and reducing our dependence on fossil fuels.
