Clevedon School students finished third in their first ever competition.

Luke Palmer, Scott Ford, Jack Banks, Max Drew, Charlie Comrie, and Archie Comrie celebrated coming third in a rowing competition. They stormed the under 18s National County Gig Rowing Championships in Plymouth, representing Somerset, beaten only by Devon and Cornwall.

In their first ever competitive race, they were rowing against countries who could select rowers from 30+ clubs, with 4-5 years of experience in regattas and races.

Clevedon School admires their dedication and commitment, since they only began training in October and started rowing every week in Bristol docks with their British Rowing coach.
