Finley, 12, wins prized Masters lifeguard medal

Finley Bevan, of Worle Community School Academy, in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, achieved the Rookie Master Lifeguard Award. 

The award recognises Rookie Lifeguards who have achieved an outstanding standard through the Rookie Lifeguard programme.


Finley had to pass through eight different stages to achieve the accolade.

Principal Jacqui Scott said: “This was a superb achievement by Finley. To achieve such an excellent accolade for being a lifeguard at such a young age is something to be proud of.“

The WCSA motto is ‘We Challenge and Support to Achieve’, resulting in students who thrive in all areas.

The academy has a high-achieving and caring ethos, aiming to challenge and support to encourage the full potential of every single student.
