Fast-growing counselling service turns to community amid surging demand

Wellspring Counselling is wanting community feedback after a staggering rise in the demand for their services.
The North Somerset based organisation near Bristol, England is seeing overwhelming demand due to social factors including the cost-of-living crisis, lengthy NHS wait times, and the high costs of private therapy.
Faced with this growing need, Wellspring has taken a proactive step - consulting directly with the community to better understand their mental health challenges and preferences for services.
They have created a Community Survey to gather vital feedback.
People can access the survey using the QR code on the poster or by visiting the website www.wellspringcounselling.org.uk
CEO Wendy Griffin said: "With an ever-increasing demand for our services, we felt it was crucial to really listen to the community and make sure we're meeting their needs.
"This survey will help us shape our offerings to best support the mental health of local residents."
The survey, which can be accessed via a QR code on posters around town or the Wellspring website, asks participants about their specific mental health struggles and the types of services they would find most helpful - whether that's one-on-one counseling, group courses, or other offerings.
"We want to encourage as much community involvement at Wellspring as possible," Wendy continued.
"It's important that the community's needs remain at the heart of what we do."
With the community's input, Wellspring aims to evolve its services to best address the unique challenges faced by those it serves.
