They were also able to meet students and staff and enjoy lovely free food in the modern Restaurant.

Families could enjoy the visiting fire engine, and a range of activities including a colouring competition, fizz pop science, hair braiding and glitter tattoos.

There was also a fun visit from the animal rangers with a range of animals on show.

Students were performing music throughout the morning and there were exciting sport activities archery.

Principal Mark Tidman said: “It was brilliant to meet so many prospective students and their families.”

The staff of Puxton Park were also present, with animals from cuddly Guinea Pigs to sleek snakes and millipedes.
