English pupils and mascot Winston feature in Italian Press

Torquay children are thriving with fun and exciting learning partnering work with an Italian school.

Pupils at Barton Hill Academy are sharing ideas with schools from Italy, Turkey, Portugal and Bulgaria in a project that will last two years.

Torquay Teachers and the school mascot ‘Winston’ visited the Italian school to learn innovative teaching techniques and their visit featured in the local Media.

Barton Hill Academy is a brilliant school achieving some of Britain’s best value added performances, squeezing every ounce of potential out of pupils.

Head Teacher Jane Young said: “We want our school to be the very best it can be and our pupils are really enjoying learning about other cultures.”
