Dozens of student helpers from Worle Community School Academy in Weston-super-Mare showed off their excellent facilities and outstanding campus at their annual open evening.

Visitors were able to enjoy a range of fun activities across the academy, listen to excellent musical performances by students and enjoy excellent free food at their modern spacious Restaurant.

There was also a range of activities to enjoy including Jill Dando News story writing, music, science experiments, keyring making, music, trampolining and basketball.

The ambitious academy is part of the high-achieving The Priory Learning Trust (TPLT).

Since becoming part of TPLT in 2016, the academy has seen many campus improvements including a £400,000 refurbished auditorium and sports hall.

Principal Jacqui Scott said: “It was a terrific few hours and we were delighted to meet so many pupils and their parents and carers.”

The academy has a wonderful caring and high achieving ethos, excellent extracurricular provision including the Jill Dando News Centre and the groundbreaking eco-club Climate Justice Revolution.

The WCSA motto is ‘We Challenge and Support to Achieve’, resulting in students who thrive in all areas.
