Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest canine welfare charity has partnered with Heritage footwear brand Hush Puppies.
With the iconic Basset Hound at the heart of Hush Puppies, the new partnership will support the charity to continue its vital work, with the brand donating 10p per pair of school shoes sold at HushPuppies.co.uk or in store as part of their back-to-school campaign.
Dogs Trust have been working to create a better future for dogs and their owners since 1891. In 2023, Dogs Trust cared for 13,374 dogs and found loving homes for 10,588 of them.
Two Basset Hound cross pups who are currently seeking their forever home are dynamic mother and son duo Dasher and Posie.
The bonded pair arrived at Dogs Trust West Calder in 2023, having not had the best start in life.

Since living at the Rehoming Centre, the pair have stolen the hearts of the team. Dasher and Posie are looking for a family who can work on their training with them while giving them all the attention and cuddles.
Their ideal owners would be at home often and be comfortable walking in quiet areas to giving them both time and patience to adapt to home life.
Owen Sharp, Chief Executive Officer at Dogs Trust said:
“From rehabilitation to rehoming, we’re here to make life better for dogs in need. We believe that every dog that comes through our doors deserves to find a loving new home.
Partnering with Hush Puppies on their back-to-school campaign this year will make a great difference to the level of support we’re able to give our dogs and their owners.
Every penny donated will help us ensure we can continue to give dogs in our care everything they need until they find their forever homes.”
