A new life-saving defibrillator was officially launched at Revo Kitchen on the seafront in Weston-super-Mare Somerset Follow by evening of entertainment.

The lifesaving defibrillator was given thanks to the Donate For Defib Weston-super-Mare Project and the Rotary Weston-super-Mare.

The Rotary Weston-super-Mare generously donated funds to purchase and install the crucial medical equipment, which can dramatically improve the chances of survival for individuals experiencing cardiac arrest.

During the unveiling ceremony, the Donate For Defib WsM Project presented the Rotary Weston-super-Mare with a commemorative plaque, which will be displayed alongside the defibrillator.

The event was attended by project co-leaders Josh Bell and Tom Farrand, as well as Maya, the project's adorable defib dog mascot, and her family.

"We are truly grateful for the support of the Rotary Weston-super-Mare and the community," said Josh Bell.

“This defibrillator will undoubtedly save lives, and we encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with its location and proper usage."

The launch event was graced by the presence of Marvin Muoneké, a talented singer who performed a concert following the unveiling.

Revo Kitchen, which graciously hosted the event and facilitated the defibrillator's installation, also received praise from the organisers.

It is a superb restaurant at the excellent Weston-super-Mare seaside location.

The newly installed defibrillator is now rescue-ready and registered on The Circuit, a network dedicated to improving accessibility to life-saving equipment.

With this addition, Weston-super-Mare takes a significant step towards enhancing public safety and preparedness in medical emergencies.
