Good news as man and pup rescued from deep pit
By Jill Dando News
A good news rescue of a man and his puppy happened in Moonta, South Australia this week.
The adventurous puppy fell down an old mine shaft while exploring with its owner.
When the puppy's owner tried to rescue it, he also got stuck in the deep, narrow shaft and couldn't get out by themselves.
Police officers, firefighters, and rescue crews rushed to help. After working for several hours, they finally pulled the puppy and its owner out safely before nighttime.
The owner went to the hospital to get checked, but both he and the puppy were okay after their underground adventure.
The shaft was part of the historic Hughes Enginehouse from the 1800s.
