Clevedon School Set for Boost with Modern Temporary Classrooms Amidst Major Redevelopment

Clevedon School is set to benefit from a state-of-the-art new modular building as the Department for Education (DfE) moves forward with plans to install high-quality temporary classrooms as part of the delivery of new permanent buildings awarded on the School Rebuilding Programme (SRP).
The DfE-led initiative will see a modern, two-storey L-shaped building with 24 classrooms, seminar rooms, offices and toilets installed, ensuring that Clevedon School’s 1,400 students continue to have access to excellent learning spaces while plans for the school’s full redevelopment progress.
The move follows the discovery of problem concrete in one of the school’s older buildings which necessitated the rapid construction of the temporary ‘Learning Village’.
Now, the DfE has stepped in to accelerate the provision of upgraded temporary classrooms, paving the way for the long-term transformation of the school site.
A Clevedon School spokesperson said, “This is a really positive step for our students and staff. We are incredibly fortunate that the DfE is committed to providing us with excellent temporary classrooms while the plans for our new school building take shape.
“Our focus remains on delivering the best possible education for our students, and these new facilities will support that mission – indeed they exceed the specification of the classrooms we are leaving behind in the concrete impacted buildings.”
The temporary classrooms—described as some of the best available, will be delivered by Reds10, an award winning contractor with extensive experience in this sector.
Clevedon School, Futura Learning Partnership, and the local council are fully supportive of the DfE’s initiative, ensuring that students receive the best possible education throughout the transition period.
