Priory Community School in Weston Super Mare held a special Christmas Concert on Thursday 19th December. Raising the cheer whilst receiving donated items for Weston Foodbank, the concert supported the local organisation as the school’s charity of the year.
Foodbank provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.
Part of a national network of foodbanks, they are supported by The Trussell Trust, working to fight against poverty and hunger across the UK.
Students performed a matinee performance earlier in the day for younger children to enjoy. By 6pm they were rehearsed and ready to share every note of joy with the local community who visited.
It wasn’t just students!
Some teachers from the school included: Miss O’Gorman, Mr Brand, Mr Ennis, Miss Farrant, Mrs Carthew, Miss Haberfield-Scott, Miss Curtis and many more.
Miss Curtis was the conductor and Mr Ennis did a solo performance.
