Children make ‘Moon Cheese’ sandwiches in exciting space adventure

By Jill Dando News

The wonderful children at the Ofsted Outstanding Little Learners Nursery based at St Anne’s Church Academy in West Wick, Weston-super-Mare have been learning about ‘Our World’ with a particular focus on Space.

The children were challenged to make their own ‘moon cheese’ sandwiches, write their names on rockets and practicing walking on stilts to pretend they are walking on the moon.

The Little Learners have been taking their learning home too, making their own solar systems and looking for stars through telescopes.

Amy Marsh of Little Learners said: “The whole topic about space was really brought to life. The children have been having great fun and the moon cheese sandwiches were particularly popular!”

St Anne’s is part of The Priory Learning Trust.
