Christmas cards designed by children in foster care, highlighting what Christmas means to them, were the star of Barnardo’s festive offering this year – showcasing the work of budding young artists across the UK.
The card collection – which has proved incredibly popular – is raising vital funds for the charity, while increasing public awareness of its leading fostering and adoption services.
Last-minute shoppers or people wishing to get ahead for next year can still pick up the card collection on Barnardo’s online store, as well as in 50 Barnardo’s retail stores nationwide.
Lynn Perry, CEO for Barnardo’s, said: "At Barnardo’s, we’re always blown away by the talent and enthusiasm of children and young people, and these Christmas cards are no exception.
“We’re so proud to be able to showcase children’s artwork that reflects what Christmas means to them. It’s particularly heartwarming to see so many of them mention family as a key part of their festive season.
“The children are delighted that their art will be displayed in families' homes across the country, and it’s been heartwarming to see them so excited to be part of this project. Anyone buying the cards is helping us support children, young people and families across the country.”
