Charity Young Minds have launched The Writers Programme for young people with experience of struggling with their mental health.

Over the course of the year, participants receive training and support to help them share their story, influence change and help other young people through their writing.

Applications for our Writers Programme are now open until 23:59 on Sunday 13 August.

A spokesperson said: “Anyone aged 14-24 who is currently living in the UK can apply. But we’re particularly keen to hear from young people from backgrounds, or with experiences, that have often been under-represented in the mental health conversation.

“By taking part in the Writers Programme, you'll receive support to share your story and speak directly to young people across the country through your writing.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a creative community, make a difference and help build a future in which no young person feels alone with their mental health.”
