Building Minds: Rugby Brothers Team Up with Talk Club & Wellspring to Tackle Mental Health in Construction

By Jill Dando News
Former international rugby players Jake and Josh Caulfield, now co-founders of Evolution Developments, are on a mission to tackle the mental health crisis in construction with their new initiative, ‘Building Minds’.
In partnership with Talk Club and Wellspring Counselling, the initiative aims to:
Raise Awareness – Shine a light on mental health challenges in the construction industry.
Challenge the Norm – Break the stigma and encourage open conversations.
Provide Support – Offer practical help through peer-led support and professional counselling.
Talk Club will train key team members as Talk Club Captains, empowering them to lead on-site mental health conversations and support their colleagues.
Wellspring Counselling will provide self-referred counselling for construction workers and deliver practical mental health tips to manage anxiety, stress, and depression.
“We want mental health to be as normal as a hard hat,” says Jake Caulfield.
“By training our team and offering professional support, we’re making sure no one suffers in silence.”
The ‘Building Minds’ initiative launches in April, with training and support rolling out across all Evolution Developments sites.
