Brilliant students have been raising awareness and giving insight to younger children on the holocaust.

Year 11 students Ellie Edrich and Jess Smith led assemblies at The King Alfred School, an Academy, (TKASA) in Somerset on the horrors of the holocaust.

Year 11 students were assigned roles to research about specific events during this period and hundreds of students listened in.

Ellie said: “Holocaust Memorial Day is a time to remember the millions of people killed in the Holocaust, but also in the genocides that followed around the world.

“It is vital that we learn how the lessons of the past can inform our lives today, and ensure that we all work together to create a better future for everyone.”

TKASA is a high-achieving school that has a wide variety of extra curricular activities.
