Brilliant footballers at Somerset school win 4-0 to make it into the last 32 of the prestigious National Cup out of over 600 teams

The Year 11 team at Worle Community School Academy, Weston Super-Mare, Somerset beat off the challenge of top local team Bristol Brunel Academy with a four goal avalanche.

Captain Logan Harvey will now lead the team out against Devenport High School for Boys (Plymouth) in the round of 32 this week.

There are over 600 teams in the competition.

Goals in the last 64 game were from Brad Dakin, Olllie Bryant, Kyle Ainsworth and Joshua Oliver.

Principal Mark Tidman said: “This is a superb result from a great group of students who are showing determination and a lot of talent to get through to such a late round in this prestigious competition”. 

“Well done. We are very proud of them all.”
