Books brought alive as staff get into character for World Book Day

By Jill Dando News

It was fun all round as dozens of book characters were brought alive by staff on World Book Day.

Staff at The King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge, Somerset dressed as well-known and famous characters from a host of books across the world.

On World Book Day, every child in full-time education in the UK is given a voucher to be spent on books.

Reading for All programmes in The Priory Learning Trust have further helped boost literacy in recent years.

World Book Day is celebrated nationally every year on the first Thursday of March.

TKASA have one of Britain’s best sixth forms which also entered into the spirit of the day.
