Big hearted billionaires host dinner to help disadvantaged children

A group of billionaires from the UK are holding a charity dinner in central London this weekend to raise money for disadvantaged children.

Generous John Caudwell, the billionaire founder of Phones 4u, is the brains behind the scheme as he looks to give back to those who need it most.

Caudwell chairs Caudwell Children, a children’s charity, and Caudwell LymeCo, promoting chronic Lyme disease beliefs.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4 today, John said: “Like all charities, Caudwell Children has suffered dramatically throughout this pandemic at a time when people need even more help.

“I came up with this idea quite a long time ago about forming a very special group of individuals to become part of our life-changing circle.

These people will be kind-hearted, donating a minimum of £100,000 per year over a ten-year period to join this life-changing circle.

“They get nothing back from it, it is pure philanthropy to have the pride of knowing that you have changed thousands of children’s lives who suffer from horrible illnesses and disabilities.”
