Opening in Spring 2026 near the Hartcliffe Way and Hengrove Way roundabout, 224 Youth Zone will offer over 20 activities—from football, boxing, and climbing to creative arts, music, drama, and employability training.

It’s part of OnSide’s national network and will be the new home of Youth Moves, the award-winning South Bristol youth charity.

This vibrant space is designed for young people aged 8 to 19 (up to 25 for those with additional needs), offering a safe, energetic environment to learn new skills, make friends, and thrive.

In a major partnership, 224 Youth Zone is teaming up with Bristol Sport Group’s four foundations—Bristol Bears Community Foundation, Robins Foundation, Bristol Sport Foundation, and Flyers Community.

This collaboration will drive community engagement and expand access to sport and physical activity in South Bristol.

By uniting their resources and expertise, the organisations aim to deliver top-tier sports programming within the Youth Zone and the wider community.

The partnership is built on a shared commitment to inclusion, development, and creating opportunities for young people of all abilities and backgrounds.

Sarah Mortiboys, CEO of Bristol Sport Foundation, said: “We’re proud to partner with Youth Moves to inspire the next generation through sport and help them unlock their full potential.”
Matt Justice, CEO of Youth Moves, added: “This partnership is a game-changer. Together, we can reach more young people, help them grow, and create lasting impact.”

Further details will be announced soon, but the shared goal is clear: to provide a world-class space where every young person feels they belong—and can shine.
