Bear Grylls praises karate Black Belt charity inspiration who is following in his footsteps

Ben Price, 15, Deputy Head Boy at the brilliant John O’ Gaunt school, Hungerford, recently helped raise £11,000 for charity on a mountain bike hike with his dad. He has also ridden the longest zip wire in Britain.

Ben became a black belt in karate just like Bear did at the same age after taking up the discipline aged 7. Ben has even trained at Bear’s gym, and met the author and adventurer, and trained with his son.

Bear officially opened the Bear Grylls’ Inspiration Centre in December 2015 at JOG, aimed at helping create future successes like Ben from within the school. It is full of inspirational quotes from world successes to spur on students.

Speaking to the Good News Post, Bear said: “Huge congratulations and admiration to Ben for taking on these incredible challenges.”
