Amazing students awarded at glitzy award ceremony (By Evie, 12)

Students from Priory Community School Academy weston-super-Mare, Somerset, were praised for their successes during a marvellous night of celebrations at the Winter Gardens in the town.

The Academy gave awards for excellence and hard work in areas including sport, maths, English, science, languages community and attendance.

Some of the awards celebrated were the Star awards, musician and drama student of the year, humanities awards, PE awards and one for overall excellence.

The Citizen of the Year Award was awarded to the PCSA Value Ambassadors. This has been an award for a number of years, 

A new Duke of Edinburgh Award went to Caitlin Ellway.

The winner of the Jill Dando student of the year Evie Lewis.

Principal Angelos Markoutsas said: “Every year we are amazed at the brilliance of our students. 

“This was an excellent celebration night. We are very proud of them all.”
