Pupils enjoy sun drenched Sports Day

By Jill Dando News

This is a wonderful action shot from Sports Day at Castle Batch Primary School Academy, in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.

Excited pupils were outside on our huge field enjoying a host of sporting activities and races.

Principal Lindsay Evans said: “The Sports Day was a tremendous event. The pupils were extremely excited and enjoyed a whole host of sporting activities.

“It was a brilliant way to end the year after we had to cancel our first Sports Day last week.

“Physical exercise is an important part of our curriculum, supporting the mind and body so we were not going to miss it!

“My thanks go to our PE subject lead, Ali Sweet, who put together to whole day with bubbles and year groups.”

CBPSA is in the heart of the North Worle community, has an excellent and spacious site and inspires children to be happy and confident learners.

It has a brilliant new library, an ambitious creative curriculum as well as a Jill Dando News Centre to train up young reporters.

Castle Batch became part of The Priory Learning Trust two years ago and works closely with other schools across the Trust to enhance learning opportunities for all .
