World Wi-Fi expert offers to give PM and Parliament an IT makeover for free after live Covid19 Downing Street malfunction.

World Wi-Fi and IT expert Dan Jones has offered to give Downing Street and the House of Commons a technology makeover for free, after a mystery malfunction during Boris Johnson’s crucial statement on Covid-19.

Boris’ video link from Downing Street lost audio which Parliament was suspended before the health secretary Matt Hancock had to step in.

Dan, who speaks to conferences across the world on Wi-Fi, Apple and IT issues, said “I will be willing to give a free Wi-Fi and IT makeover to the House of Commons and Parliament.

“We are rightly leading the world on so many issues of IT, and these critical places such as Downing Street and the House of Commons must have the very best in technology.

“This was a simple technology failure, which should be corrected so that these things don’t happen again.”

Dan recently gave a successful Wi-Fi and IT makeover for the Global Academy in London, which was opened by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry.

During the Downing Street IT breakdown, there was a ripple of laughter from MPs in the chamber when the Prime Minister could be seen moving out of shot on-screen.

Commons Speaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle said: “Have you pressed the button Prime Minister? I think we’re just going to have to stop for a moment so we can have it checked…

“We’re just checking the sound Prime Minister; we lost your answer. Have you pressed the button by mistake Prime Minister? It’s not our end Prime Minister; it could well be yours.”

Dan Jones, Head of Maven Consultancy in Somerset, recently spoke at the prestigious Wireless Technology Forum. (which can be seen on YouTube via CWNPTV by searching for Designing Wi-Fi for Apple) or clicking the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTAHXZphU_k)

He had by far the highest number of views for any of the speakers at the conference.

Now he is continuing to help millions of homeworkers, businesses and schools to prepare for a post-COVID-19 environment.

Dan said: “Covid19 has changed the world, and now, more than ever, people and businesses and other organisations are going to need the latest Wi-Fi and connectivity with all its capability.

“Part of my work is helping organisations to prepare for a post-COVID-19 world, which is going to be very different, but state-of-the-art Wi-Fi will help massively.

“Covid19 has also forced millions to work from home. I am now advising businesses on how to deploy fast and secure Wi-Fi into their home offices, and even under the floors of the new build office buildings and public spaces.

“It is a new world, and so we have to use the latest technology to thrive in our home lives and work.”
