A two-year-old boy named Laurent has become an international artistic sensation after selling his horse, cat, and duck paintings for thousands of euros.

The genius 'pint-sized Picasso' saw his abstract and colourful works sold to galleries.

His mother, Lisa Schwarz, realized his talent on a family trip to Italy last September told The Times.

"There was a painting room in the hotel and we couldn't get him out of it,"

She set up a studio for him at home, and his artworks started pouring in.

One painting called 'The Fingers' sparked a "real hype" when Lisa shared it on Instagram, gaining over 28,500 followers. Laurent's acrylic on canvas paintings even sold at a Munich art fair and attracted interest from a New York gallery.

"They're abstracts and what's unusual is how he integrates discernible figures into them, which people often mention to us and which makes them so popular," added Lisa.

His works, like The Blue Horse and The Cat, have sold for up to €6,500.

The proceeds are being transferred to an account for Laurent. "It's totally up to him when and what he paints," Lisa added.
